Oh Baby!! Shower Ideas

I must say my mom knows how to throw one spectacular baby shower. Here are a few of the amazing things she put together that made the day so special.

The invitations came out darling

I found these tissue paper pom-pom's on Martha Stewart's website and I thought they were a must-do!

These advice cards were one of my favorite things! Onesie and bottle templets attached to small wooden dowels then placed inside a foam block and then in a small flower pot. I love this idea. I also have used it as a decoration in the nursery! So sweet!
The blue punch came out perfect. the ducks were a great added touch!

This diaper cake turned out to be more then I ever could have expected. A big thanks to my biff Melissa and her mother Debbie.

My mom found some tiny clothes pins on ebay and using construction paper made this handmade garland it came out really cute.

I must say these party favor Cupcakes were a huge hit. Sealed with a ribbon and a personalized tag.

Game Ideas:
Traits Game- these were handmade by Alicia and her sister they used construction paper and shower curtain rings. Make a list of traits such as; eye color, sense of humor, smile, athleticism, intelligence, etc. Ask all the guest to write down who they think the mother to be would want the baby to inherit the trait from, mother or father. The person with the most correct answers wins.

Poopy Diaper Game-
Always a fun time! Select 5 candy bars. Fill diapers with melted chocolate candy bars, making it look just like a poopy diaper. Using their senses or smell and sight, guest must guess what kind of candy bar fills each dirty diaper.

Another great shower idea a photographer friend came up with, as I was given presents to open the person who gave the gift came up to take a picture. I now have a one on one picture with everyone that attended my baby shower. I thought this was a great idea because I later used these pictures to make personal thank you cards for everyone which I unfortunately did not take pictures of the finished product.

Food Ideas:
I thought the fondue fountain was amazing! But chocolate and pregnant seem to go hand in hand for me! Though when my dad came by he thought we should of had pickles to dip in there, still being pregnant im not sure about that but you could always give it a try : )

Strawberries, pound cake, gram-crackers, marshmallows.

We did a cold cut platter and just had everything available for guest to make their own sandwiches, a veggie platter and spinach dip, yum yum

Dig in! All these food pics are making me hungry!

Bootie Cake made by Publix!
Publix has some of the best cakes!

Here are a few more pictures from that special day
